Operation Guide
1. Charge the battery
The recorder has an internal, rechargeable battery. To charge the battery, you need to turn the recorder on (refer to “2. Turning your recorder on and off”), use the USB cable to connect the recorder to the battery charger.
During charging, the red indicator will blink, when the battery’s power is full, the red indicator keeps on.
2. Turning your recorder on and off
Press the Power ON/OFF button once, the red indicator turns on, after a while the blue indicator will be on, the recorder is ready for video recording or photo taking.
Press the Power ON/OFF button again will turn the recorder off.
3. Video recording
After power on the recorder(blue indicator is on), press and hold the Video/Photo button for 2 seconds to start video recording, the green indicator will blink slowly. During recording, press the Video/Photo button again, will stop recording, and start saving the recorded video data.
After data saving finished, the blue indicator turns on and waiting next recording. Note: To obtain perfect video at dark night, please turn the LED light on (refer to “5. Turning your light on and off”).
If the continuous recording time is over 30 minutes, the recorder will save the current recording data, and then restart video recording automatically.
When battery’s power is low, the red indicator will blink for seconds, and the recorder will stop recording and save data.
When the memory is full, both the blue and red indicators will blink for seconds, and the recorder will stop recording and save data.
4. Photo taking
After power on the recorder(blue indicator is on), press the Video/Photo button once to take a photo, the blue indicator will blink rapidly.
Note: To obtain clear picture, please keep the recorder static and not shake during shooting.
Turn the LED light on for shooting at dark night.
5. Turning your light on and off
After power on the recorder(blue indicator is on), press and hold the Light On/Off button for 5 seconds to enable the light function. Click the Light On/Off button once to turn your light on. It stays on until you turn it off. Click the button again to turn your light off.
6. Setting time
The recorder has the function of showing real-time on the video or photo. To set or correct the date and time, follow the steps:
1), Edit a text file according to the format of “TIME,2009/05/05/20:07:30;”, save the file as a text file and named it TIMECFG.TXT.
*A sample file “timecfg.txt” is included in the CD, you can modify and use it directly 2), Put the file under the root directory of the recorder memory when the recorder is connected to computer.
3), Disconnect the recorder from computer, turn the recorder on, the time will be set up automatically.
7. Connecting to PC
When the recorder is on standby or shut down, you can connect the recorder to a computer by USB cable. The red light will be on at this time, after a while, a removable disk symbol will appear on the computer screen. The red light will blink (charging battery), or will keep on(battery power is full).
Note: 1). Please connect the recorder and computer firmly and securely. If no response for 30 seconds after connected, please disconnect the recorder, and reconnect again. 2). Please do not connect the recorder to computer during video recording or photo taking.
Function as a removable disk: When connect the recorder to PC, you can copy, move, or delete files stored in built-in memory.
Function as a PC camera:
Before the first use as a PC camera, please install the driver named “USB Camera Driver V1.102.exe”, which is included in CD. Move the cursor to this file, double-click to execute it,and then follow the installation tips to complete installation.
When the recorder is shutdown, press and hold the Record/Stop button, and connect the recorder to the computer, after a while the USB video device sign will appear on the screen,release the button, and now you can use the recorder as a PC camera
8. Installing the battery:
The battery has been installed before delivery, you needn’t to install it again. If you need to replace or reinstall battery, please pay attention to the direction of the battery,as shown below:
